  • How One Holiday Changed Everything:

    Miss Seafari Was Born

    It all began a few years ago when Mell D, founder of Miss Seafari was on a dream vacation in Bali, she found herself in a less-than-dreamy situation. She was hot, uncomfortable, and struggling with clothes that didn’t work for her body.

    As a perimenopausal woman, the heat felt unbearable, and her holiday wardrobe was doing her no favours. That’s when it hit her—she couldn’t be the only woman feeling like this. She knew something had to change, and was ready to make it happen.

    Miss Seafari was born from the belief that every woman, no matter her age, deserves to feel cool, comfortable, and beautiful—whether she’s at home or on a tropical getaway.

    After more than three years of dedicated research, Mell created a collection of effortlessly chic, resort-inspired styles designed to be inclusive of all women.

    Her pieces are crafted from soft, premium breathable fabrics to keep you feeling cool and looking great, even in the hottest weather.

    So whether you’re lounging by the pool, packing for your next trip, or simply want something comfortable to wear every day, Miss Seafari is here to make life easier no matter where your journey takes you.

Our Designs & Creation Process

  • We are a slow fashion brand, which means that, at every stage of production, we’re committed to doing right by others and the environment. Mell D designs each Miss Seafari piece in Brisbane, Australia, before it’s manufactured by hand at a family-owned factory in Indonesia.

  • This also means we have no strict production time schedules allowing our production partner to love and enjoy the process of making quality handmade garments for you. To do our part for our precious environment, we ship each Miss Seafari piece in recyclable or compostable packaging.

Manufacturing & Ethical Transparency

At Miss Seafari we take our ethical & social responsibilities very seriously and choose only to work with small manufacturers where we can manage their production effectively and ethically ensuring fair and safe working conditions are met.

Our Miss Seafari branded clothing is designed in Australia, and handmade with love in Indonesia.

Our manufacturer in Indonesia is a small family-run business providing clean, and hygienic working conditions, and ensures their staff have two meal breaks per working day and importantly they are paid fairly for their efforts. No children are employed.

The Factory is compliant and registered with their national government to meet all workplace standards.

    To support our local community have partnered with another Australian designed label, and we also donate clothing to our local Salvation Army.

    Our Online Business is owned and operated in Brisbane, Queensland- Australia, or you can find us on most Sundays at our seaside Pop Up Shop at Redcliffe Markets.
